Choice of material
At JESA, the choice of a steel or engineering polymer is not left to chance; long experience combined with efficient methods of calculation and testing enables us to make the most prudent choice.
The materials available are innumerable, to say nothing of the various thermal treatments for steels and the various additives and loads for polymers, which make selection even more difficult.
JESA draws on a range of materials that are well-known and understood, thus guaranteeing affordability. Corrosion-resistant steels and materials for use at high temperatures are available. However, if a special material were to be necessary, JESA has the equipment that will enable testing and final validation to be carried out. Once the product is released for mass production, partnerships with reliable suppliers of raw materials enable JESA to guarantee stable performances for its products.
Examples of polymers used :
PE - Polyethylene
PA - Polyamide
POM - Polyoxymethylene
PPE - Polyphenylene ether
ABS - Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene
PET - Polyethylene terephthalate
PBT - Polybutylene terephtalate
PEEK - Polyether ether ketone
TORLON ® PAI:
Polyamide-imide Torlon® PAI is a melt processable plastic with outstanding mechanical properties, combining advantages of metals and those of plastics. The intrinsec properties of TORLON® PAI make it an effective alternative to metal in high-temperature friction and wear applications.
